20CARATS carries 100 years of family jewelry craftsmanship. The story began in 1925 in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, where the Tran family ran a jewelry restoration shop serving local aristocracy.
After relocating to the United States in 1989, the business paused, but the family’s skill and passion continued. In 2019, the fourth generation — the great-grandson — revived the craft under IMR
Diamond LLC, specializing in large earth-mined and rare fancy-colored diamonds in Manhattan NYC.
In 2024, the brand evolved into 20CARATS, expanding into both natural and lab-grown diamonds while maintaining the family’s strong commitment to craftsmanship and quality.
Today, 20CARATS stands as the result of a century of knowledge, dedication, and artistry, carried across four generations.
About Founder
Founded by Duy Duong, who began his diamond career in 2019 by establishing IMR Diamond LLC, a trading office in New York (57 West 57th Street, 3rd Floor, Regus Center, Manhattan,New York, 10019, United States of America).
He later advanced his expertise with GIA certifications in Diamond Essentials (2019) and Diamonds & Diamond Grading (2020).
With international experience and professional training, Duy Duong leads 20CARATS with clarity, craft, and vision.
